I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in secure software development. I have a passion for security research and enjoy ethical hacking in my free time 😎
I believe the ability to read and write code provides a fundamental foundation to truly understand how these crazy machines work in the first place. I am proficient in Python, C++, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript & x86 Microsoft Assembly language. I have built standalone applications that connect to external databases, generate GUIs and even generate HTML in a webpage to be displayed to the user. I have experience in full stack web development on the side, and have built a blog web-app along with multiple web pages utilizing proper UI/UX & web design techniques. I have also written custom red-teaming scripts, including an SSH brute force tool & a SHA-256 hash cracking tool. You can find a link to my GitHub through the "Connect" button below.
I began to study various elements of computers and the networks they communicate across more in depth after taking an Intro to Ethical Hacking course. Since then, I have participated in multiple CTF and red team/blue team style challenges, such as the fall 2022 CyberForce and both the fall 2023 and spring 2024 National Cyber League competitions, as well as taken courses in advanced red-teaming tactics, malware development and enterprise phishing. I spend most of my free time finding flags in various Hack the Box labs & challenges or following TryHackMe paths & modules if I need to brush up on any particular set of skills along my journeys. This is personally my favorite area of study, and I hope to pursue a future career in the offensive security space :)
I enjoy learning how computer networks function and work in unison to create the beautiful worldwide internet that we all know, love and enjoy. I have built basic but effective single area OSPF networks as well as full enterprise level infrastructures complete with VLANs, dynamic routing, segmentation, security & access controls, network monitoring mechanisms and secure Wi-Fi. I am currently working on both a personal home lab to host red team/blue team wargames and Red Rocks Community College brand new Cyber Lab infrastructure where we hope to set up a similar environment in order to better teach the cybersecurity students and faculty practical security skills with more hands-on focused labs along with the ability to host cyber events down the road as well.
